M3 Killer? Lexus IS500!

I saw this over on another forum. looks like the Lexus IS will be loosing 2 doors and getting more HP.

The current M3 with 333hp gets to 60mph in less than 5.0 seconds. The new one with a V8 with 400+ hp should do it well below 5.0 seconds.

Hardly an M3 killer, but should make for good competition.

Currently though the 330 is a better car when it comes to performance than the IS350, so if M3 :: 330Ci : IS500 : IS350, the M3 should reign as king.

That Audi S4 on the other hand..😀rool;

From the articles I have read, 0-60mph IS350 is faster than the 330i

The IS500 (assuming it exists) will be too heavy to beat the M3.

Lexus is heavily skewed towards luxury, and all that luxurious stuff is heavy.

Why a coupe? A 4 door IS sedan with 400 hp is something I could get on board with.
