Oh man...I just put in my order for one for my birthday next week.
This baby is just awesome!
Hopefully I'll be getting it before my birthday next year!!!

I thought there was a HUGE waiting list for them unless you wanted to pay some rip-off dealer markup. Unless you have connections at the dealer (or work for the dealer..)

yeah 18 months, or you can get it via egay right now.

Yeah, but the waiting list is slightly less than the coupe so perhaps 9-12 months. I guess it depends on which dealer you go to as each dealer perhaps gets 3 M3s a month. The dealer I went to had a red convertable and that nasty laguana (or was it iguana) seca blue on display. The guy said that they're going to put it up for auction is will fetch at least 8k more then MSRP.
But I can wait...as long as I get mine!!!

So hopefully I'll get mine sometime next summer when I can enjoy the weather!!!

I've been trying to get a job at a BMW dealership. Unfortunately for a college guy with little experience, high end European car dealers aint hiring. Though I hear, even the salesmen themselves are not allowed to buy cars for below invoice, so M3 (or M5) is a bit outta most of our reaches for now.

Ohhhh. I thought you meant you put an order down for getting the car next week on your birthday. I heard of a guy paying 67k here in Atlanta for one. He wanted the car that very day and would pay whatever it took to get it. Too bad his lawyer froze his checking account and the check bounced and he had to return the car minus 10k a week later.

Oops...sorry, that does sound like if I'm getting it next week.
But no, I put the order in for my birthday which is next week and will
only be getting it next year hopefully by my next birthday. Heeheeehee!!!
Most of the dealers that I've called in the DC Metro area says it'll take close to a year for one. I think I can wait and save my money somewhat....sigh...
gotta start saving!!!!

That new Q looks AMAZING. Just about every luxury feature available, and supposedly 0 - 60 in 5.9?! :Q 340 horses are a good thing, I guess.
