M2V Video files not working right

I've posted this before, but no one answered:

I have a bunch of M2V format music videos I've downloaded off Usenet. When I had Win98 they worked fine. Recently I upgraded to Win2K and no matter how many codecs I try to install, the M2V files don't play right. They play, but are squeezed to half their normal width.

Am I missing a codec? I'd sure like to get them working again...

Anyone??
