M232-SLI Deluxe Front Panel HD Question

My case supports the HD configuration for the front panel and the AC97. I'm going to try the HD configuration but I have just a couple questions about it.

1) What is it exactly? How does it differ from AC97?

2) On the manual it shows the L1 connection twice. I think this may be a typo as it never lists the 2L connection. Anyone know the proper configuration?

The diagram shows the connections exactly like this:

GND | PRESENCE# | SENSE1_RETUR | | SENSE2_RETUR
____________________________________________________________

PORT1L | PORT1R | PORT2R | SENSE_SEND | PORT1L


So the PORT1L is listed on the bottom row twice. Is one of those actually PORT2L?

Found out it was a typo and the PORT1L on the right needs to read PORT2L

Additionally, I found that HD Audio for the front ports adds jack sensing so if head phones are plugged in, it will turn off the rear speakers. I think that's about it.

Feel free to add anything to this but I think I'm good to go.
