m0nowall VPN Client and settings

I currnetly have m0n0wall 1.11 up and running as my router for my home network It works great and i haven't had to reboot it yet. I used to have to reset my microsoft mn-700 ALL THE TIME. I am now using it as just an WIFI access poit and currently the DHCP. I would like to be able to use the m0n0wall's built in VPN solution so that I can access my home network from work as well as give some of my family access to my files. Does anybody know of a good free VPN client that I can use with m0nowall. If so what settings should i use. I am not a huge security freak but I'd like to nail it down pretty tight. I would also like to know if I should be using the DHCP built into m0n0wall if I am using the vpn. I have set up VPN's before but either using cisco built in stuff or W2k server so some of the settings are like greek to me. thanks.

btw - all the VPN client machines will be running windows XP
