need a stable skt775 m/b that supports the current wolfdale processors (will be using a e8400), ddr2 and has at least 1 serial port.

have had good luck w/ a couple gigabyte p35-ds3l but am a bit worried since all they have are beta bios for the wolfdale cpus and don't want any issues w/ the new build...

thanks in advance for the assitance

I think you'd be better off getting yourself a serial PCI card instead of limiting yourself to a board with a serial port integrated..

Gigabyte boards usually have serial ports. There's nothing to worry about beta bioses. I think they're trying to be not liable for stable 45nm cpu support. Most of the time beta bioses work as good as stable ones.

looks like they put a new m/b for the old p35-ds3l, the ep35-ds3l and looks like it supports 45nm stuff from the get go :)

Yep, Got the old, you get the new. Nice board, easy to understand and pretty gdamn stable.:D Just make sure it has the latest bios, as it should being the "E"p35.
