M/B Chipset Stability

I'm intend to buy a few units of new PIII pc for build a LAN, and for some reason I wouldn't go for overclock(will stand at 133mhz). So what I need is the motherboard/chipset which is stabil under networking and having Geforce/MX series cards installed environment. I have heard a lot of bad things about the VIA and Geforce craps, so do they fix it with recent bios? Don't consider 810/820 because price is still steep IMHO. And don't you think the lovely BX is getting old nowaday? So what do you think?

Apparently I wouldn't buy any Intel chipset motherboard because it's expensive and I can't afford. So what you can see now is I have only 2 choose, VIA or BX. And keep in mind this networking is mainly for gaming purpose. Anyone?
