M-Audio transit

I'm very intrested in this device. It's almost as expensive as the Audigy 2 NX! Q) But it looks like it could sound better, and has all of the features I need. Does anyone know how it sounds, in comparison to the Audigy 2 series, both in line in and line out? And headphone out? I plan to pair whatever I get with an amp, later on. But I need to know how it sounds with the headphone out, now.
