If the receiver has digital coax input..sure..

Was that a smart ass answer? I dunno...no clue.

I don't what the options are for that sound card but make sure the digital output format is PCM. Maybe the card (or the software/drivers that come with it) has an option to enable/disable digital out.

I do the same thing with my mobo, it has a digital coax out. It works fine. Make sure the setting on the reciever are right for one. Sometimes you have to flip through the possible digital audio inputs until you hit it.

Also, like RanDum said, make sure its set to output to digital out.

Good luck! When you get it working it will sound great. Next you have to run an svideo cable to the receiver and you are all set!

What about sound formats other than MP3?
