M-Audio Revolution 7.1 and CD Ripping... is it possible?

Since the M-Audio doesn't have a CD-IN jack on the board itself, does that mean the CD drive is practically useless for music?

Maybe I'm just confused here... maybe someone with this board can clear this up for me. 😀

Or should I just keep an eye out for the Audiotrak Prodigy 192?

Who actually uses analog cables for CD music these days?

Use digital audio via the IDE cable for playback.

For true ripping (ie encoding to MP3's), it was always done that way.

I had no idea digital stuf was done via the IDE cable

I need a smiley of me smacking myself on the head... thanks for the lesson in humility 😉

Now I don't have any qualms about buying either board.
