Good day

I am looking for a M-ATX Mobo. The following MB have come to my decission:
ASRock Z87M Pro4 (85Euros)
Asus Maximus VI Gene (150Euros)
Asus Z87M-Plus (100Euros)
Gigabyte G1.Sniper M5 (160Euros)
MSI Z87M-G43 (85Euros)
MSI Z87M Gaming (136Euro)

The new MSI Z87M Gaming looks nice. Don't know if it worth the money. But some people say MSI has lost their quality they once had.
I don't trust (think they are good enough) onboard sound cards, so I will be buying a dedicated one.

What exactly is the purpose of the board and the machine it is going into? Some of those are fairly high-end boards... you may or may not need the extra features those boards offer...

This is what I will buy:

CPU: Intel i5 4670K
GPU: inno3D GTX 780 iChill Ultra
RAM: not sure, but probably some 16GB 1866MHz
Strorage and Optical drive: 1xSSD, 2xHDD, 1xOptical Drive
PSU: 680W from Seasonic
Case: Xigmatek Aquila M-ATX
Sound Card: Asus Xonar DGX or the DX

Again, what features on a motherboard do you need? I'm running the Asus MVI Gene and love it, but I'm willing to pay. And the onboard audio is more than satisfactory. 🙂

At this stage, I am not very known to this materia. But as far as I know what I need is:
4xRam Slots (supporting Ram faster than 1866MHz)
2xPCIe (one for my Grapahicscard, one for my sound card)
At least 4 Sata ports
Needs to have some OC features


At the side:
-I never read a review from someone, that said that the onboard sound is good/better than a dedicated sound card.
-I don't know all the different kind of features from different motherboards, but the thing is: I will never know what it is/if I will use it, when I never had it 🙂

Depends on your budget and color theme, thou. Asus z87 gryphon seems nice and neutral.
