Why do I get the feeling that this thread will turn into a massive flame fest? Flamebait anyone?

My Ass Rides In Navy Equipment - and that's because the Marines are an extension of the Navy.

What, did you think we are stupid or something? You seemingly are qualified to be a Marine, though. They don't call you guys jarheads for nothin, pal.

I'll be nice and leave this thread in peace before I break out what the marines think of army people...

Here comes the classic "My armed force is better than your armed force" pissing contest.

Don't they all work as a team?

I am doing Army ROTC right now, but I don't see how any other service is better or worse when you are working as a team on the battlefield.

Working as a team is important, yes. But I'd much rather be the snipe-your-ass-from-800-yards teammate than I would be guard-the-local-base's-gate teammate. :D

Maybe someone can help me out here, but which groups hate each other the most? For example I had a buddy who used to be a marine. He said that if they were at a bar and the Navy boys were there they usually got into a fight with them...unless the army was there, then the navy and marines joined together to fight the army guys. I might have that mixed up and I don't know where the air force fits in that mix either....can someone help me out?

You say that now, but talk to a sniper and ask him about all his training he went through. The specialized stuff they go through is :Q

It is airforce against army...every other day at PT, the air force makes fun of us for exercising so much and we make fun of them for being pricks...its all with good intentions though...both sides usually get a good laugh out of it :)

Yeah, Sniper Training goes through the marines though. Hard stuff I tell yeah...I wouldn't feel up to it...then again, I don't want to become a sniper.

Yeah, I don't want to be a sniper because I can't handle being trained to be one.

If I wanted to just pull a trigger, I'd go play paintball.
