Any full res sample shots? All of the sample shots I've seen are these small 400 pixel shots. If it could provide at least 2MP clear pics, I'd be very excited.

Yep, so much unknown at this point. Haven't checked out the 'hands on' vids posted yet.

These samples are interesting. They are dynamic in that you can exercise the refocus capability by clicking on an object in the photo.

Honestly, I'm not terribly impressed. The depth of field ability is nice, but the technology behind it shows its limits. For example, try to "focus" on some of the distant foliage in the upper middle of that image, and you'll find that it really can't. Basically that's because their "depth of field" ability is really only 12 layers deep. Their technology is minorly impressive, being able to essentially take 12 different depth of field images at the same time (that literally is what they do). But it doesn't give you infinite depth of field. It only gives you 12 layers.

All 12 pictures are at f/2, essentially are all the same DOF, but all are at different point/distance of focus.

Wow, neat technology, but everything is out of focus, even the parts that are supposed to be in focus.

I'll be more interested when they come out with a sensor that has the dynamic range of the naked eye.

Of course this is totally immature tech, but I'm totally underwhelmed from a photography standpoint. So much of the marketing terminology stinks of snake oil.

That said, I think this holds some promise, especially as sensor tech and the software to deal with this sort of image data continues to progress.

Knowing little about hte product:

Most people are lazy (general population). They will not want to do post processing on any of their pictures, not to mention 100 of them.

And as seen here, people that are really into cameras think that the tech is neat but inferior.

Who is the target market?

I'm not impressed, seems like a solution in search of a problem. What's the point, I usually know what I want in or out of focus before I take the photo. If they had done something that allows you to change DOF post-capture, I would have been more impressed, but still there are compromises. What will that enable me to do that my current camera can't do better?

Agree, post DoF would be nice. Still though, I'd want to buy either a body that supports this as a one time buy. Not an all in one solution.

yeah besides, focus, allow the change of exposure would be awesome... and of course, sharpness...
