They going to be AMDs death. 2core 4 thread with shitty graphics on die. Waste of die space . But it will make intel billions

Wow. So they are releasing Fusion before AMD releases the real Fusion. Impressive. It's not a waste of die space. I was recently reflecting on how SNES games are more fun than modern games like Crysis. Most people could care less about 3D gaming.

I am fussy on this . I only recall reading it once . But didn't AMD back away from orginal fusion plan . I am sure I read that. Ilike the idea of on chip graphics . Its just I really don't have alot of faith in this unit. from intel . But i could always be wrong at least once in my life:laugh:

I said I heard of a 2 core 4 thread beast that intel was releasing would be 4ghz . Will let Me say so all understand . THATS not True I am sorry . I was told this morning that 4ghz is not a stock base clock :D Turbo I asked got no reply.

But anyway that 2.66 is a joke literaly. Wait till you see its replacement LOL.

That 2.66GHz is 4 core/8 thread so it isn't really a joke.

Here's my wag on the 32nm 2 core 4 thread "beast" you mention.

3.33GHz Base Clock
4GHz Max Turbo Clock with single core operation

Turbo Mode is essentially a way of increasing clock speeds WITHOUT increasing power consumption to unacceptable levels. It's also a way to ensure a quad core is as fast or faster than dual or single core CPUs in all scenarios. It would make marketing/segmenting easy as ATM, dual core vs. quad core isn't so clear.

In reality, it won't matter. Havendale is REPLACED by Clarkdale so its really the same thing for people wanting IGP systems.

As for the IGP, I don't think it'll be terrible as people think. Those who wants best performance still won't be satisfied of course. The way I see it the IGP in Clarkdale compared to G45 is akin to going from Extreme Graphics 2 to GMA 900.

Extreme Graphics 2

266MT/s single texture, 533MT/s multi texture, DX8 compliant

GMA 900

1333MT/s single texture, 1333MT/s multi texture, partial DX9 compliant, updated 2D

The fillrate changes brought the weakness of the architecture(in EG2) to a strength(GMA 900).

I'm sure the new IGP will be competitive with concurrent low-end stuff from AMD and Nvidia in 3Dmark. For everything else, I'm not holding my breath. If you don't know what I mean, look at the performance of past IGPs from Intel.
