Lying about relationships.

I know this woman through my work. We've talked several times.....she's German with a heavy accent. Nice looking, but I had no designs on her at all. During our previous conversations she always managed to mention her "husband". I never thought anything about it, other than she wore no wedding ring.

From previous experience, I know many women will claim to be married simply to avoid being hasseled by men.....say in a bar or at a party. "I'm married" can really mean "I'm not interested, don't bother me". Whatever. I've always prefered the truth, but I guess some women think that's the easiest way to say NO.

Well yesterday this woman and I are talking again (I still know virtually nothing about her...no one
else does either), when she up and asks me when I get off work. No mention of a husband this time. What am I supposed to think? I gave her some lame excuse....had to work late, or something. But I left the door open.

Doesn't it make life easier to tell the truth from the start? Why lie? Maybe she does have a husband. Maybe not. It's difficult enough to start a new relationship, and it's more difficult when you don't know the whole truth. Crap......If I ask her straight out, it might piss her off either way. Jeez...

Go out with her and suggest going back to her house....her response to that should help lol..although if you're a typical AT'er she would say no either way ;)

Maybe she really does have a husband but doesn't like to wear the ring so that she can get play from guys anyway - much like my father used to do when we went to the bar: opens bar door, pulls off the wedding ring. :frown:

Anyway, maybe she's just lonely and wanted to be accepted by people and tried claiming that she was married as her attempt.

Who knows. In any case, the woman doesn't sound like someone who I would consider seeing on a non-professional, non-friendship basis.

You do realize that 'husband' is the german word for 'dildo'.

She might want a threesome. Although that doesn't benefit you too much unless you like objects up your a-s...

Remember that it's this (possible) wife who's the one opening the door..
