I have a Gigabyte GA 6LX3 motherboard I would like either run a PII 450 with a 100 MHz bus or a Celeron 533 at 66 MHz bus with an adapter as it is the last 2.0 volt CPU. Does the LX chip set support the 2/3 AGP multiplyer to keep the AGP at 66 MHz like the BX chipset does?? The 100 MHz isn't officialy supported by the LX boards. I believe the Celeron would work if the board will recognize it, as the multiplyer is "locked" and the core voltage is correct. The newest BIOS for this board is from 12/1999. Thanks. Rick.

There is no 2/3 AGP mutliplier on the LX chipset.

You would not be able to run your Pentium II 450 on that board because there is no support for 100MHz on that motherboard. In fact, NO LX board has support for 100MHz FSB.....most only go as far as 83MHz. The closest was the Abit LX6 with up to 92MHz FSB.

If the newest BIOS was available at the end of 1999, then there should be no problems with the recognition and operation of a PPGA Celeron 533.
