Per Capita income there is $58k/year, the highest in the world. The US at #2 (I think it's #2) has a mere $41k/year. Growth is strong in Luxembourg with low unemployment.

Why is that place so pimpacious?

I'd think Monaco would have a higher per capita income. Although, come to think people who live there don't really have to work, so maybe not.

From what my father is telling me it's also a pretty expensive place to live.

5 HUNDRED THOUSAND, son!!

You realize what that means? 1/600 of the populaion of the US. No administreative overhead, no military spending, no trade barriers, they don't have to be socialists, they can just agree on sh!t. There are some nice things about being tiny, unimportant, and resourceless.

I'm not going to move (I'm a red blooded American, dammit, I like the U.S., even with it's problems ;)), but dang that sounds like a nice place to work and/or visit

I would have thought one of the Arab countries would have been there...Average worker salary $100 a year, average royal salary... $100000000000000000000000000000 a year

Might wanna check that cost of living first. Making 50K a year living somewhere where it costs 100K a year to be middle class isn't better than making 41k a year and living somewhere where it costs 30K a year to be middle class.

Sweet. I say we buy it and make it a resort. I bet they don't have one waterpark in the entire country, that's just wrong - must rectify the situation.
