So I bought some lunar property from http://www.lunarembassy.com/ back in 1997 when it was 1777.58 acres for $15 (size of Manhattan, anyone else get this joke?).

Recently a couple people have sent me links back to this site, as it is a lot more popular after it's been on CNN. The property prices are now up to $20 for 1 acre.

Does this mean my initial $15 investment is now valued at $35,551.60?

How would I go about splitting up the deed on my 1777 acre property into smaller lots and reselling them on E-bay?

I don't understand the point of this post.

There is nothing in that article that says it's bogus.

Even so, experts said Hope might as well being selling pieces of Antarctica.

"It?s basically the same law," said John Pike, a space policy analyst at the Federation of American Scientists. "The bottom line is, he can?t own property on the moon unless he?s got a government to back him up. No one is claiming sovereignty rights on the moon. And if any government did, I?d be very skeptical that any other government would recognize that claim."
