Lump under the arm??

I have an angry red lump under my arm. Its been here for about 2-3 days and hurts pretty bad... but its not really getting bigger or smaller..

Am I ok? what should I do?

hmm thats the thing.. its sort of too "deep" to really pop. Also I know thats not always the best thing for infections etc

I have already seen quite a few other people use it. I am not sure if that is good or bad yet. One even used it agianst me without knowing it came from me 😛

Usually it's the lumps that don't hurt that are the ones you should really worry about (tumors). It's likely a plugged up lymph node or something, best get it checked by a person in a white coat who goes by the name "doctor."

It sounds like a minor thing, infected hair follicle, ingrown hair, plugged up sweat gland (infected), or maybe even an angry lymph node due to a minor viral or bacterial thing.

The lymph nodes in my arm pit swelled up and became sore for a few days. Then a couple days later I had an outbreak of shingles (herpes zoster). Swollen lymph nodes are often a precursor to an impending illness such as the flu.

If it gets worse in terms of swelling or pain, or persists longer than a week without any signs of getting better, then you can be concerned. Until then, I wouldn't worry myself about it.

You'd think huh. One behind my ear flared up about a month back now and I went to the docs. He gave me a blood test and it came back ok. I went back to see him because it was still up (this was 2 weeks back?) and he said "don't worry about it".

Its still up................
