My wife and I switched over to Aio, and I have an Android device so I use Google Voice for my voicemail needs. She has the Lumia 1020 which is locked to AT&T but can be used on Aio since it is AT&T.

Anyway, we have been using regular voicemail on her phone for the past 2 months since she got the phone. I've tried looking online and tried finding it on the phone, but the voicemail on the device itself is only regular voicemail. VV is supported by Aio. Is there anyway to add it to the device or anyway to somehow get it on that phone?

Thanks!

Call them. Chances are they have to set up her voicemail account for the type of phone she has. I know that AT&T has to set up your voicemail different so iphone visual voicemail works, which has to be changed if you have an Android. I imagine windows requires something similar and the carrier needs to set up the voicemail properly.

Checking on WPCentral seems to indicate no visual voicemail support for Windows Phone at this time. Recockulous considering you can have it with WP, and with AT&T, but I digress. You could look into the 3rd party services like Youmail or Magickmail but I don't really know anything about them (and Google is killing 3rd party support for GV, so sayonara to Metrotalk after this month).

Well, I can't have AT&T set it up since it isn't officially going through them.

That is exceptionally ridiculous. I wish there was a way to push it to the phone. Other phones on Aio support visual voicemail, and I'm not sure why this phone can't support it. Does the 1020 actually on AT&T's network support visual voicemail? I think it is stupid that manufacturers let the carriers control the software so much. OEMs need to step their game up! Ugh!

I have a Lumia 920 on regular ATT. I didn't get visual voice mail on my phone until I switched to a different plan, which happened to be a mobile share plan. It does work on ATT but I am unsure of AIO.

He most likely meant call AIO customer support
