Does lumbar support actually help anyone? I have it on my new desk chair and it feels like a metal bar across my lower back. Of course that's what it's meant to be but how exactly does this help anyone even if they have lower back pain? What a pain in the ass it is. I also have it on my vehicle but at least I can set that so far back in the settings that I don't feel it. On my desk chair it doesn't go away completely. Lumbar support FTL.
 
If it's bothering you, then either it's not adjusted right, or you have a weird back. 😛 I love the lumbar support in my car -- hated it for the first few days, but then grew to like it. Same with my office chair.

But in the end... buy a new chair, if you can't adjust your current one to be comfortable.
