Glancing at the price, it seems slightly more than a cheaper 9800 np, but most 9800 np come with infiniteon memory nowadays if you can find one.

The image is IDENTICAL to a regular 9800 pro, which means same heatsink and such, I think. But it may be able to accept a softmod. I don't know the chances of it however.

Buyer beware.

The SE version is NOT comparable to the 9800 family - it's a neutered card. SEs have been seen for sale well under 200 bucks - Eagle computer is probably trying to rope people into thinking this is a good deal.

It doesn't even come with a driver disk, it's bulk in the purest sense of the word and they have the nerve to charge what a 9800 NP costs @ Best Buy right now after rebate.

The SE cards under $200 don't have this memory configuration and can't be softmodded.

If this thing doesn't mod then you've just paid $260 for something that performs only slightly better than a 9600 pro. Not at all worth the risk at that price. Cold deal.

Very shady IMHO about them trying to sell a 9800SE for that much. I think they are trying to catch the unsuspecting/uninformed public. Is there a Buyer Beware Thread? Maybe ATOT needs not only a Hot Deals but a Buyer Beware for "deals" such as this.
