hi all,
first post here... so be gentle.
monarch computer has the evga 7800gtx (retail box, sans bf2) for $498 shipped, no coupons, no rebates. doesn't beat dell's deal a week ago or so for bfg's oc'ed 7800gtx, but a good deal nonetheless.
enjoy,
abe

Yep. Dell has had it sub-$400.

Dell had the GT (not GTX) for less than $400. The cheapest they had a GTX was like 470ish.

Not a cold deal, but not super hot. Warm price if you are shopping for a GTX card.

I'm ready to pay $500 for a video card to improve my gaming experience, but waiting to see how ATI R520 stacks up against the 7800GTX. I don't want to spend $500 on the 7800GTX just to find out a few weeks later that R520 gives significantly better performance (im not saying it will, I'm just waiting to see).

I just got the BF2 included version for$500 shipped. My alternate was the $498 w/o BF2. Not a horrible deal. Better than a poke in the ear with a sharp elbow.

Now I just have to wait around for Monarch to ship it....I'm guessing that it will take most of the week for them to wake up and process my order.
