Wow, that's pretty cool. Where did you get this information? Mine's still on 8pm.

no dice for me, I just check for a S.F. bay area zip code and night/weekend minutes still start at 9pm. if they did start it at 7 I'd switch to att in a heart beat.

Hmmm I'm wondering about the ones already locked into 9PM... Could you call them to get it switched to 7 or 8 PM????

I dunno about you but I just switched not too long ago to a 2 phone contract and they are charging about 8 bucks in taxes. They didn't tell me this at the store. When I signed up for them for 35 bucks a month last year I had no TAXS at least they didn't show them... So, now I see them and it ticks me off since the ATT wireless stoe did not tell me anything at all about any taxes, and I figured it was just in the fine print. I was going throw some paper work and I didn't see any where were it said anything about taxes. Maybe I should call them again and talk to a manager since they clearly stated that it would be 49.99 a month for 2 phones.

I suppose I could bring up reversing the charges on AMEX if they don't credit me back... ??

Deal is only good for those with $59.99 plans and above. Just called and switched.

Wonder what will happen in a few months when Cingular takes full control over ATT wireless.

Im still in an old digital 100 plan, eve and weekends start at 7, end at 7. for like $25, but I only get 30 prime minutes, but that isn't when I typically need the phone, just eve and weekends.

Umm, hello? AT&T isn't the one charging you tax, its your local government. AT&T is indeed charging you $49.99 per month for 2 phones. They will laugh in your face if you complain about it, because they aren't doing anything wrong.

me too, everytime my contract ends, I walk into the store and say "i want to keep the 7 to 7 and I want a new phone" and they usually say no, then I call customer service and try a few times until i get a rep that gives it to me, get his extension number, go back to the store, have the store call him and walk out with my new phone :)

GOD forbid no to ATT..
I have ATT in Tampa Bay area (GSM). It has been torture to use it.
I still have 2 month to go on my agreement with them I pay ATT but not use it anymore.
I already got a new to Verizon service, since I cannot take it two more months. Now I have full signal boost. Pay for two services, but thank God to Verizon, I can talk.
Stay away from ATT GSM. It sux (sorry).
Now, I can complete a full phone call with out "encoding switched off" message.
Please dear anandtech friends..an advice....stay away" from ATT...

If you had done your research, you would have known AT&T GSM sucks. Their TDMA service is almost rock solid however.

Yeah, ATT is still building out their GSM system. I'm in SoCal and had better service with their TDMA system. I want to know if ATT is gonna offer the rollover minutes like Cingular???

roll over minutes ?

Better GSM service? I had ATT GSM for two weeks and that was enough to make me get out. Stick with another company for GSM.

This would be pretty hot if it's available all over, I could abuse att's free night and weekends even more :D

I think if you're currently in a 9pm plan you'll have to renew to get the new 7pm rate. At least, that's what my friend had to do before to go from no free night/weekends to free ones.
