I was working on some personal bests on bench yesterday. Previous best was 245 @ 160-165lbs or so. I had a killer massage the day before and was feeling good. I put up 245 with relative ease. 250 then went up. Then 255. Okay now we are gittin' serious so I ask my spot buddy for his headphones and have him queue up some gain attaining rap. 260 went up, then 265. I take over the phone and put on some classics from Ludacris and proceed to noodle out on 270.

Ludacris let me down :( but regardless I was super surprised that I could put up that much weight. 100 lbs over my weight was exciting to feel. 1.6 times BW.

DMX will get it done for me next time.

The key with DMX is to make sure you bark along with him before your lift. Guaranteed you'll board the graintrain and ride all the way to swoleville.

honestly..

Micheal jackson. gotta love "dirty diana" for a heavy session.

when I would max out, I never used headhones/music. WAY TOO MUCH weight to try to over motivated myself to lift it. my biggest gym bench was a 2.18 X my bodyweight.... and I wasn't a feather weight ;)
