Lucy, Please pay your bills!!!!

So 2 years ago when my wife and I purchased our first home we got a new phone number. Apparently the person who had the phone number prior to us (Lucy) doesn't pay her bills and we constantly get phone calls asking for her.

There are days where Lucy gets more calls then either my wife or I. When these collection agencies or companies call we tell them that Lucy doesn't live at this address, we don't know who she is and to take our number off the list. That has not stopped the calling - as Allied Interstate called 2 times today.

Is there anything else that we can do aside from changing our number?

Yay, 2 more phone calls this morning - a Saturday both before 9am. I told the 2nd one I needed all of their information because I was going to report them for harassment. The lady apologized and said it would take 24 hours to remove my number from their database. Lets see if this works

My work line actually received calls asking for Diane MacPhillips at least 3x a day. Since I'm obligated to answer my phone at work, needless to say I was pissed. I tell all of them please take me off their list as she doens't work here.

No calls in a month at least.
