Lucky Louie is hilarious

I just started watching this show on HBO and it's friggin' hilarious. Anyone else watching this?

TiVoed a few episodes and watched most of one before deleting all of them. I thought it was stupid and not even close to funny.

The one I watched was about how his neighbor was moaning really loud and they thought she was having an affair.

That show is hilarious. Except for the episode where Jerry (I think that's the character's name) walks around Louie's apartment naked a couple times. :disgust: Gross...

Lucky Louie is one of my favorite shows, I love the humour and Jimmie Norton is hilarious as the neighborhood drug dealer.

Yeah, that guy's funny, but I didn't need to see his junk.

My ex g/f and I love that show, and she hates TV, go figure. I didn't like his wife at first, but she grew on me and now I think she's smokin', guess it's her voice. The smoky voice does it for me.

I like the episode where it opens with them talking about her butthole.....good stuff.

It's one of those that you have to watch a few episodes of to get past the over the top vulgarity and raunchiness to appreciate.

It's a lot like South Park in that way.

I love lil' Jimmy Norton but that show is just awful. I think I LOL'd maybe once in the 8 episodes I watched, whereas on curb your enthusiasm I usually can't breathe for 30 minutes.

Seconded, I just couldn't get past the crudeness of Lucky Louies humor, and I'm usually a guy who likes his shows having less censorship and more explitives. Curb is such an awesome show though, I was pissed when it lost best comdey to something as stupid and overdone as The Office.

I'm a huge fan of Curb your Enthusiasm, but I thought last season was probably the weakest so far.

I would agree with you to an extent. I think some of the shows last season were pretty funny, but I didn't like how the main plot kept changing from week to week. Season 3 was all about the restaurant, Season 4 was about him doing The Producers, last season he was giving kidneys or trying to see if hew was adopted, or visiting Louis Louis in the hospital.. there was no real theme to the season and that's what I thought it lacked.

I think Lucky Louie is just unwatchable. I really wanted to like it - I think Louis CK is an interesting, talented comic, and I went into it prepared to really enjoy it. The show just seems to me like a really dull, uninspired, family-oriented sitcom, with tons of adult material gratuitously wedged in. I find Louie dull, the wife and daughter annoying, and the rest of the cast more or less totally witless. On a generous day I might give it 1 1/2 out of 5 stars.
