nothing special about celebrities. they are people just like everyone else. they just make money off of attention whoring.

I hope you're not serious. You make it sound like actors and singers became as such because they know they like the attention and it's not about loving what they do. Sports figures are celebs too. Attention whores huh ?
 
99.9% of celebrities are attention whores, yes. they love the lime light, and all the fame that comes with it. all they do is talk about themselves, promote themselves, and fire people when they dont pick out the green m&ms or get the wrong brand of bottled water. the ones that do it for the love stay out of the lime light, and you never hear about them. harrison ford comes to mind as one that isnt.

as far as athletes go, i dont think the majority are attention whores, but there are enough of them. warren sapp jumps to mind first.

Self promotion leads to more gigs. Music bands do this as the most extreme example. Are they attention whores too or do they want to get their names known so they can do their thing and earn a living ? Sure becoming popular is a factor - does it warrant them being called attention whores ?

In Jess Alba's case, she's got little work and she attends every celebrity event she can even when not slated to appear on stage or even become mentioned. Does she flash skin everywhere she goes ? No.

99.9% ... gimme a break. You know this for a fact ? Your obvious distaste for 99.9% of all celebrities lends you no credibility. You still have your opinion, but frankly, it blows. I wonder if you hate people who drive exotic cars... just because they do.

actually i heard he got paid a crapload of money but he gave the entire crew harley davidsons and then donated the rest to charity.
