This PIC got my thinking about my luck AGAIN.

during my youth, lots of lucky and serendipitous events happened.

My 1st job ever paid double the minimum wage working only part time. Was in a situation with a girl that was out of my league and she became my gf, which lasted a couple of years. Got a highly paid job because of video games. etc etc

But that ended yrs ago when i stopped thinking about my luck. What happened was that i graduated and joined the real world. my carefree days were over and i stopped noticing chance opportunities.

In essence, I began being so busy that i lost sight of luck.

Do you believe you can ride luck for multiple decades?

I think I'm lucky.. my first job (out of h.s.) is a fulltime IT job.

Alright, so this will sound awful...But I believe that a woman with a sweet rack can have "luck" that lasts decades.

Think about it: The moment they sprout around age 14, every guy starts being extra nice to her. She just happens to get picked to be on this team, just so happens to do well during that interview, just so happens to be the popular one in the office that all the managers want to be around.

I'm sure there's a South Park or a Simpsons or a Family Guy that I can reference so that everyone sees it for sure...but just look around at real life.

luck...i dont what to think of it.
going into the bass/pike fishing season this year, i was outfitted with far superior array of tackle,equipment, and "knowledge" vs last year.
yet i didnt catch a single bass over 2.5lbs this year, i did catch alot of them, just none worth writing home about.
last year otoh, i was winging it more, and i landed several bass north of 3,a couple north of 4,one 5.25 and one 6.5
i fished every bit as much this year and had more range with a better boat to fish with, supposedly better lakes....ugh

Sounds like glass half-full/half-empty to me. For example, if you just got demoted, do you consider yourself lucky you still have a job? If you just lost your job, do you consider yourself lucky that you still have your health? If you just lost your health, do you consider yourself lucky you are still alive?

Generally speaking, there are three types of outlooks on life: optimistic, pessimistic, and realistic. You can view events as lucky or unlucky if you wish, but to me it's just assignment of value to random events.
