This looks incredible.

Too much of the article to quote here so I suggest you all go give it a read to see how it works.

Footnotes:
1. Any GPU in an SLI/Crossfire combo from same vendor 2-4 GPU's- We are talking a 6800 paired with a GTX280 and X800 paired with a 4870X2 and near linear scaling, not the 60-80% with SLI/CF.

2. Splits work load into 'tasks' and assigns work load dependent on how the GPU performs
3. Chip can be integrated onto motherboards / Graphics cards / Add in card.
4. Lucid will demonstrate its products at the Intel developer forum this week

Too good to be true? Guess we will have to wait and see.....

I'll believe this when I see it working across a range of applications without the need for profiles.

Among other things they?ll still have to deal with interdependencies where one GPU has done something rest need.

Such interdependencies change on a per-game basis, hence the need for IHVs to program drivers for individual games.
