Lucid dreaming ..

My brother showed me this site a while ago and I found it interesting. I got to the point where I could remember my dreams every night then quit trying for lucid dreams, but since then I've had at least three.

The first one I was in the bathroom and we had a lot of high-tech stuff around. I realized we don't normally have that stuff in our bathroom so I wondered if it was a dream. I checked the light switch and it didn't work (that is one way to check if it is a dream according to the site). I tried to make something appear but it didn't work and I ended up waking up.

The second time it happened I went to sleep after my alarm had woken me up. I dreamed that I had gotten up and did what I normally would have. I realized some things weren't quite right and then remembered (in my dream) that I had woken up to my alarm and had to be somewhere soon so I forced my real eyes open and woke up.

The third dream was last night but I don't really remember what was lucid about it .. it is what reminded me of the others though. I doubt any of you are still reading this, but another thing I found interesting is that the site makes lucid dreaming sound kinda like the matrix. That is, you have to train yourself to ignore what you think is impossible so you can do the impossible (e.g. fly).

Lucid Dreams rule. when you figure out how to controll what your dooing cause you realize you in a dream is the best

I Hate lucid dreams, I get so disoriented when I wake up. Especially the waking up lucid dreams, I spend the first 30 seconds wondering if I am really awake this time.

I remember once I was walking around my house and the weirdest things would happen like a pencil eraser would actually make a pencil line. The electric razor only worked unplugged and mentally thinking, this isnt right but accepting it anyway.

Still not as bad as my deja vu moments where I can remember in great detail the next 5 minutes in perfect detail.

Wow some people actually read my post (or at least the title 😉). So is there really anyway to teach yourself to have lucid dreams?

Heh .. take a look at today's tip (on the site): do a reality check now!

Dude your wierd...

When I get deja vu, my right shoulder hurts.. It's weird. I get it maybe once a month.

The lucid dreams rock. All I ever do is fly. It's a fun thrill.. and I find that I get a good night sleep whenever I have a thrill - or at least I wake up with more energy.

He was talking about a dream he had. Just because he had a dream like that he's weird? I'm sure you've had some weirder dreams than him.

Did you see last Wenesday's "Ed" on NBC? Almost the entire episode was a lucid dream, pretty interesting.

Personally I prefer the random dreams I normally get just wish I could remember them.
