lucent wireless pc card/bus modem and bsod

i just got wireless and my system has become pretty unstable....just before i got wireless i had a an actiontec modem go bad on me it was only like a month old...connection speed started droping a little ata time...well at anyrate it was also a lucent tech chip and this wireless modem is also...anyone had any trouble likethis?

well apparently the bsod was not the modem but the connection id from the wireless provider...it was upgrading me to a higher connection speed once i installed the new access code and updated the data rate everything returned to normal.
