Lube, Oil and Filter...

I know when you go to get your oil changed, they drain the oil, put a new oil filter on and put in the new oil.

What the heck is the "lube" part though?

That's for the billing phase.

🙂

I've always been charged only a buck or two more to have it changed at a garage (as opposed to doing it myself), which is fine for me because then I don't have to take the time to haul off the old oil to some disposal site (which is usually the garage anyway).

Just a joke, my cars go to the dealerships for everything.

So nobody knows?

Chassis & suspension lube. Most cars nowadays have no-maintenance joints and dont have zerks. I prefer to put aftermarket bushings with zerks built-in, however.

Yeah, I'm not sure what a zerk is, but my truck had these little nipples for injecting grease into the steering linkage and some suspension points. I've always assumed that that is the "lube" part.

I own a grease gun. I can lube your nipples for free if you want. 😛

Note to self, getting zerked involves having your nipples greased.
