LT Winmodem + Call Waiting

Nullity

Senior member
I have call waiting..and I want to be able to hear the phone ring and kick me off when I'm on the net. I didn't set any disable features (*70) or whatever it was so the LT Winmodem did it by itself. Anyone know how to disable the disable call waiting feature?

Thanks,

That's the opposite of what most people want 🙂

I dunno, I'm stumped. Check the settings in Modem Properties, and make sure the drivers didn't add a 70# setting to disable call waiting on each dial.

Other than that, there's not much you can do besides buying one of those "call waiting modems". The problem seems to be that your LT winmodem is ignoring the call-waiting signal and treating it as line noise.

Thanks for the tips Modus...but I checked and the call waiting feature IS disabled. I really don't want to buy a new modem...anyone else have any other tips?

Thanks,
