Yes and no. Ga Tech is not in the SEC, so a loss wouldn't count against UGA in the SEC standings... BUT it looks like Florida, UGA, and Tennessee are going to be tied in the SEC East and the tie breaker goes to the team with the highest BCS ranking. So, yes, UGA must beat Ga Tech.

will be interesting to see how the bcs ranking ends up if LSU and UGA play and UGA ends up winning, as it is basically a home field advantage for UGA this year.
