Hello all:
I am having some SCSI problems and I was wondering if I could get some help. I just purchased an AMI LSI MegaRAID 475 Ultra160 SCSI RAID / BBU card, and I am trying to successfully connect two Ultrastar 36Z15 SCSI hard drives to it, but it is not working. Not working with SCSI alot, I was wondering if someone who works with SCSI alot could help me out. The two SCSI hard drives came 80 pin, and have converters on them making them 68 pin, and are jumpered to be ID1 and ID2. The SCSI card is by default jumpered at ID7, so I think I should be fine there. I have a terminator on the end of my SCSI cable, but it is an LVD SCSI terminator, do I need an active terminator? I don't know that much about the card itself, but when it posts the SCSI card does not see any logical drives or devices, but detects the 128mb RAM, and the battery. The drives spin up, and everything.... am I missing something here? Also it says something about "NVRAM not matched up with current devices" and also when you attempt to hit control M to go into the bios, it does nothing and just tries to post. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.
