I use a LS120 drive to backup some files on a few computers on my network. Right now I am just using abatch file to copy the files to the LS120 drive. It works good, except that I need more space. I need to backup about 140-150MB of data now. It won't fit on the LS120 disk anymore. I could use a second disk, but it is scheduled to run overnight now and no one is there.
I am thinking about 2 options.
1. I could use the CDRW drive to burn the files on the CDRW disks, which would be great because they hold a lot of data. I would have to start them manually, but I could do this as I left work for the day.
2. I am wondering if I use Windows backup if there is someway to have software compression on the LS120 drive? Does anyone know if I can do this? If I can I figure it would be able to fit all the data on. Teh data is all Word and Excel files so they shoudl compress pretty good. I know that compression takes longer, but it has lots of time.
Thanks,
Chris
