I was wondering if anyone knows how the superdisk does against the zip 100 in performance? faster? slower? any info appreciated.

did it work ok for you? I have someone who wants to sell me one with 5 disks for 60 dollars this sound reasonable?

There's s'posed to be a 2x version for sale these days. I don't know what the 2x of what is equivalent to. I want to have both IDE LS-120 2x and Zip250 in my next system ... just cuz I can.

LS-120's are slow, whether 1x or 2x. Disk prices tend to be high. Disks don't last all that long (I've taken to trashing them after about 40 writes). However I install them as the sole floppy drive in the computers I've built for family etc. Apart from being bootable and a reasonable backup medium they have that benefit of being able to take regular old floppies, and not also installing the floppy drive discounts the price a bit. I guess it's the drive I love to hate. A new LS-120 with 5 new disks for $60 seems to me a really good deal.

I don't know if this is much help but I know a girl who wants to sell an Imation SuperDisk (LS-120) External. It's for the mac (usb), it's 2x, and she only used it twice. She also has 31 120MB disks with some of them still shrink wrapped. She wants $200 and & $20 for shipping.
