ls 120 floopy read speed?

Does anyone know at what speed a ls 120 drive can read a normal floppy? I thought i read in a post stating it was 5x, but i can't find anything else that says that.

Pricewatch lists the drives as 2x and the imation site says they can be 27x faster than floppies, but it doesn't says if that speed is for normal floppies or the ls 120 disks.

From what I've gathered, the LS-120 drive writes to LS-120 disks 5x faster than a standard floppy drive writes to a standard floppy disk, and can write "up to 27x" faster if you use caching software. It's supposed to write to a stanard floppy disk 3x faster than a normal drive. I really haven't noticed the difference using mine. I even stuck in a normal floppy again for my A: because several program has compatibility issues with the LS120.

Yep, I got rid of the LS-120 as soon as I got a CD-R. I did notice it was a little faster with floppy disks, but not the signifact though.
