Hi all,

Does anyone know if it is possible to pipe a LPT port from one computer directly over to another over a network? I have a device on my parallel port which I would like two have two or more computers be able to read.

Thanks in advance!

More detail please. What device? What OS? Please tell us everything about what you're trying to do.

I got a printer which is hooked up thru a dongle which is required to let the software load up. I'd like to be able to print from that printer on another machine, but do not want to have to physically remove the dongle and move it to the other PC to print. Both PCs are running 2k.

Share the printer on the Win2k machine it's attached to, and the other machine will be able to print to it.

The printer's software on the computer searches local ports for the dongle, retrieves a bit of information from it, then procedes, but halts if it's unable to.
