The price difference between these units has now become small (eg, within $70) and with newegg asking an even higher price for the ZR24w.
My guess is that the LP2475w is in the process of being phased out, hence, the pricing anomaly. As I understand it, some important advantages of LP2475w over ZR24w are:
- More connection options
- Better panel (H-IPS vs e-IPS)
- Offers 1:1 scaling option
Also, tftcentral ranks LP2475w as a cut above ZR24w (better contrast, better black levels, better color depth, etc)
User reports seem to reveal that both models have their share of defects inolving tinting, pixel, backlight bleed problems and the rates seem to appear to be similar.
Im not interested in wide gamut and, if I should decide to fly with LP2475w, then the plan is to operate with it calibrated in a customized sRGB (or reduced gamut) via USER mode.
Any opinions would be appreciated.
