Lowest price Laptop?

Besides Dell having the best deals for 799 laptop, anyone know any other lower price laptops (current models)been checking all brand name stuff, i even looked at refurbish and they look more expensive.

The HP/Compaq 2100's can be very cheap when stacked with a 10% off coupon (though I'm not sure there's one floating right now). I got my cousin a Barton 2400+ laptop with 256 ram, 30GB hard drive, DVD/CD-RW, 14" screen for under $800.

The deals right now on the 2100 series don't seem as good as a while before but if you're patient, you can get a good deal. The XP-M chips are much faster than Celerons and battery life is about 3.5 hours.

for $1000 the compaq/hp X1000 series with a nice wide screen and a P-M is nice for the money

If i had 1000 bucks i would, right now scrathing the 600 dollar mark
i just sold my at the time of purchase $2000 gateway laptop for 150 bucks pentium II366 ha ha.
looking around the house what else to sell on ebay.

Just to Update
I finally gave in and got a Dell Latitude for 719 free shipping and free combo drive. I waited one more day and got lucky yesterday it was at 799, so today minus 50 plus a coupon code i had for 30 gave me 719.
