i have a second computer i am trying to use as a buffbot for shadowbane. i am trying to use my old Hercules Kyro2 board (64 meg) and i am crashing like crazy. they say the board is supported but well it is crashing like crazy!
maybe it is that i am using it on a 8x msi 648 max-L (original version 1.1) and it just doesnt like it though i used to play other games ok with it.
anyway i just upgraded my main comp and can barely afford anything and can get a asus g4MX or Aopen g4MX for 65+ Taxes(gst/pst) canadian. i know the G4MX boards suck but would it run stable enough not to crash? performance isnt an issue as long as it plays.
otherwise i will need to wait a month and buy a 5200 or 9x00 for twice the money and i dont want to have to wait or pay🙁
other parts of system are:
MSI 648 Max-L
P4 1.7 Celeron
256 DDR333
Hercules 3dProphet 4500 (Kyro2)
Maxtor 27 gig ata66 7200 RPM
XP Pro
i know the system is low end but i dont need it for anything spectaculr just need it to work
