lower mark after ocing?

i had 7000 before ocing but only 6900 after? is this normal? temp ic around 65 on load running rthdribl to check for artifact


i'm using rivatuner to oc

so i just step the clocks up 5mhz (for performance 3d?) each time, press test, then apply? am i doing so mething wrong?

A card will underclock itself, now-a-days, if you overclock it too much.

Although, it would be a greater performance change (not just 6900 from 7000). hm.

same thing happned to me. odd that my 9800pro would lose around 200 points when oced from 412/729(my normal oc) to 447/771(my max oc). probably not throttling though since i got a aftermarket cooler(vga silencer revision 3) and a 80mm fan blowing across it also.

what's your card wahoyaho?

ok well i just did the test again at default clock and got 6770 (300 less from yesterday when i got 7000) and then ran it at optimal settings in nvidia settings and got about a 200pt raise to 6976

is this low for the card (7800gt)? or normal. becaus ei see people with 7500+ posting on these boards
