lower chest pains.. any ideas here??

my friend is having lower chest pains, under the left breast. she can't really describe the pain, but she says it seems to cause her whole body to hurt as well.

anyone have any ideas? trying to scour webmd, not really successful.

Thanks

Gas pains, angina, liver, muscle fatigue

If it radiates towards the left arm...she should go to the doc.

Does heart disease run in her family?

Does it go away when she sits or lies down?

I hope she feels better😀

i have left-chest pain as well.. it stings ,... not always, but sometimes, it stings bad, and i have to pound my chest w/ my fist couple times, and it'd calm down.. i first thought of artery blockage... but stupid HMO idiots say i'm too young for that.. (w/out checking anything.. )

Well, what are you waiting for?!?!? Tell her you need to feel her breast to accuratly diagnose the problem!!!!

I'm picturing the Ditka skits on SNL from a few years back. 😀

well, it's not very frequent, and no numbness. i figured maybe something liver related or something. I'd take her to the university health center, but it's closed.... going tomorrow morning though.

and no, i don't think she'd go for the "let me feel your breasts to diagnose the problem" 😛

Dull pain or very sharp "poking" pain?

Heart attack pain symptoms are sometimes described as "crushing," and the pain may radiate upwards to the neck, jaw, and left arm. Sweating and nausea may occur too.
