well my goal is to reach 200 fsb on my 2x512 corsair xms 3200ll's. im running them now @ 189 fsb (2.65ddr voltage and 1.85vcore the highest i can go) with cas 2-3-2-6. i can probably reach 200 if i lower the latencies, but will i be sacrificing performance by going with a higher fsb rather than tighter cas timings?

also if i were to "loosen" the timings what would you suggest i set it to first off?

(see sig for components)

Why don't you try first to raise voltage of the ram to 2.75 ou 2.85 ?

It won't kill them. just see that after some 30/45 min after bootup they aren't very hot.
Other than that, you should be able to get better timmings at that low fsb config.

2.65v is the highest memory voltage in the bios so that is my limit. what latencies would be best to see if i can reach the ddr 400 mark? slow ones like 3-4-4-7 or something? maybe then see if i can get to 200 at the higher latencies then lower the latencies to see what the magic numbers are?

(what do you get the best performance from, lower cas latencies or a higher fsb......?)
