Low water pressure!

My wife complained about the low pressure of water coming through the pipes in the bathroom on the ground floor of our house. The water is not draining properly and in the bathroom, there is a pool of dirty water. I tried to repair it but couldn't succeed. What can be the reason behind it? We usually don't put any sort of waste in the drain area. Are there any DIY tips to solve this problem?

It sounds like to different problems to me. The low pressure could be any number of things, from plugged aerators to rusted out pipes.
The drain issue is most likely exactly what it appears to be, a plugged drain. Try a plunger, if that doesn't work call a drain service.

What type of bathroom drains do you have? If you have push drains and you/your wife have long hair, you might need to remove the push drains to clean accumulated hair out of the drains. Drain cleaners don't work very well on hair clogs in tubs and sinks with push drains installed (i.e. the hair tends to clog in the push drain mechanism itself and not in the traps, so drain cleaner standing in the trap can't work on the clog).

Also, do you have hard water with high mineral or rust content? Build up in fixtures can affect water pressure.

If you have rusty pipes, in addition to clogging up the aerators it can also internally plug up toilet fill valves as well. And, if your bath and sink fixtures use cartridges with seats and springs, the seats and springs can suffer build up and partially clog in the seats as well affecting the water pressure.

Another tip: Check the water pressure on a hose bib coming into your house. Parts on amazon <$25. If you have a pressure regulator that is more than 10+ years old, it may have failed and it can cause weird water pressure issues. Inappropriate water pressure can damage your refrigerator, toilets, water filters, dish washer, etc. Ask me how I know.

And all of my issues like you have with water draining were hair related in the past.

Drano or plumber's snake will remedy clogs; Drano often employs a strong base made from reacting sodium with water. This guy could be some weird spambot due to the bizarre sequence of sentences. .

No house should be without at least one.
