Hey im just wondering whats the best HSF to lower temps if sound isnt a concern.
Im using a s754 643200+ on a msi K8T Neo-FIS2R, and id like something that i can slip out and drop into a s939 in the near future. Also if your not busy can you suggest a good s939 mobo with good features... thanks!

dont get the copper one it's a waste of money and only improves temps by like 2 degree's plus its heavy.

yes, dfi if you want higher oc'ing capability, but its for people who know what they are doing. a lot of tweaking involved. and copper is a no no.

im not that interested in overclocking, but i wont rule it out as a possibilty, overall my computer intentions are 1. Games, 2. Video Editing... So I think I need at least 4 ddr slots... and if theres a board thats got more, oh my....

you cant use more than 2 sticks of ram sorry the amd64 memory controller that is built in the chip only supports two sticks. also you would have to run 2T which is another bad thing. if you want 4 gigs your gonna have to get two 2 gig sticks, if you want 2 gigs two 1gigs.

edit: from what wafflesandsyrup said about the DFI board i disagree the Epox board is good if not better than the DFI board plus its alot cheaper. People just look at the DFI ocing features and think its the best when truely it is just as good as the Epox board i suggested. So save your money get the epox :) I'd probably go with the xp-90 or the ZALMAN CNPS7700-ALCU if you wanted to go all copper this..

difference of 1t and 2 isnt something you would have a meltdown over, but it's always good to have those extra performance increase since it adds up with all the other small increments.

what you need to understand the amd64 chip doesnt support more than 2 sticks for the built in ddr memory controller in the chip. this could cause problems another person has used 4 sticks and his temps are alot lower when he pulls out the other 2 sticks this is because the amd64 was not desighned to handel more than 2 sticks of ram.
