Just did a swap with my Father-in-Law for a Dell version of the 64 meg Ultra. Popped it in my Duron machine(see specs)to run some benchmarks and my 3dmark score is less than fantastic. Scored a 2462 while my old Herc MX o/c 205/205 got a 1940. Running default benchs(1024*768*32). One thing I've noticed is that the first test of the missile truck (low quality) runs fast but as soon as it goes to high quality fps is low and my hard drive is steadily clicking away. I've noticed that in N.O.L.F that when I first start the game, I have to wait till hard drive stops spinning otherwise game is very jerky. I wonder, is it the PCI latency problem that I've read about on Viahardware.com or is it my slow hard drive?
