Low score in 3Dmark 2001SE - HELP!

VGA card: Pixelview Geforce4 Ti4200 128mb (Nvidia driver 29.42) 250/460.
Athlon Xp1800+, 512mb DDR PC2700 Corsair, Gigabyte 7VRXP, WinXP Pro.

3Dmark2001SE score (1024x768x32, no AA): 7585
I don't know how I got this little score while the others have more than 9000 points even with Geforce3 Ti200... (tell me it's a lie)

So here's my questions:
1. How to get the maximum performance for my computer? Any "step by step" information?
2. Do I have to update the BIOS?
3. Do such things like scanner, printer, modem, etc. affect the 3Dmark score?
4. I overclocked the video card and get a bigger score (7996) but in details it has a lower fps in some tests, any idea?

Any information/solution about this problem? Thank you very much!

1. install agp driver
2. turn off all features including aa and AF
3. the 128 meg ti4200's are clocked lower than the 64...overclock your card.

wtf?? 9000 points with a Ti200??

I just got my new TI4200 and I'm getting about 7500 points on 1024x760x32... this is with a P4 1700 (williamette) with plenty of RAM.

You are right that is a low score, I get 9502 with same mobo, 1.2 tbird, and Ti4600.... however, you should get at least that, b/c my processor is holding me back....

1. Go into the BIOS and change memory timing from "AUTO" to 333
2. Install latest 4-in-1's
3.Re-check all your vid card settings, perhaps you accidently enabled AA?

Any other questions, just ask.

EDIT: Forgot to tell you, update to the latest beta bios on gigabyte's website.... don't worry, you can't screw this board up with a bad flash, it has two bios chips...

His Ti4200 wont outrun your 4600... even with a few extra Mhz under his belt... the benchmark isnt nearly that CPU dependent...

I would say that both your and his video scores coincide nicely with the respective video card speeds.
